Nicki Minaj and Country Star Keith Urban Finalizing ‘American Idol’ Deals
Looks like the rumours of Nicki Minaj joining ‘American Idol‘ may be true. Media sources in the US says that Minaj and country crooner Keith Urban are close to finalizing their contracts for the show!
Minaj will reportedly pocket $8 million for judging Season 12 of the ratings juggernaut, and she has an extra perk: She gets special allowances for hair, makeup and wardrobe. Imagine all the wigs we can see her rock! It appears that the potential conflict of interest of having the Pepsi spokeswoman on a show sponsored by Coca-Cola have been ironed out.
Urban is expected to take home $3 to $4 million in his deal, ousting fellow country star Brad Paisley from the running, who requested Minaj’s same pay rate. Urban has some experience in reality competitions, as he’s a judge on Australia’s ‘The Voice.’ “I’m trying to make an album and it’s strange how these opportunities all come in one big fell swoop,” Urban said of his flurry of job offers.
Both stars’ salaries pale in comparison to head diva in charge Mariah Carey‘s. The ‘Triumphant’ singer is bringing home $18 million of bacon.

Sky j was formally known as Basil Onyekuru jr and he stayed in lagos most of the time he was in nigeria until his father sent for him to come and join him in the United State of America in 2005 getting to America He Went to Mica and studied visual and performing art, he later became a producer and decided to follow his career and passion which is singing.
He opened his musical studio and got to work on his music and it was so good that he was invited to perform at different Events such as Nafca, Niger First and lots of Movie Premiers and shows in America.
Sky j has allot of songs but have decided to give us a taste by releasing his Hit single Money Money ft. Rj from liberia and he also mentioned that his Album will be hitting the market following his singles and he plans on coming home to his people and fans in Nigeria this 2012 to officially introduce himself to Nigerians Via the press and through his music also he plans on visiting the motherless baby homes and donating to them as his way of giving back to his country and the community.

US promoter apologises to Banky W over false allegations
US based event promoter, Eche-Enzina Emole has retracted a widely-circulated anti-EME statement and tendered an apology publicly on his company’s facebook page.
Emole, whose company, Royal Entertainment, was in charge of the North American leg of the EME tour, says the reason behind his earlier anti-EME statements was the intensity of the situation; and information he got from those who claimed to be familiar with the EME team.
Both parties had gotten into a disagreement following the cancellation of the California leg of EME’s ongoing North American tour.
‘The information presented to me was 100% false. Allegations were made about Banky’s character, and while we may have believed them at the time, those allegations have proven themselves to be completely untrue.
To his credit, Mr Wellington and EME acted with dignity through the whole ordeal, and Royal Entertainment would like to publicly apologize for the way we handled the situation. Royal Entertainment would furthermore like to publicly retract what we, or any of our affiliates, have said negatively about Banky W and EME’, Emole wrote.
He continues, stating that his earlier insinuation of Banky W lying about Wizkid’s sickness was borne out of anger and has been confirmed untrue,
‘Furthermore, we would like to address the allegations that Banky W. had never planned to be in California. We have come to find out that this information was 100% false. As you can imagine, We felt betrayed and went on a public tirade against EME, and Banky W.
Sparks flew, tempers raged, and certain statements were issued, on twitter and in the Nigerian Entertainment blogosphere, due to the intensity of the situation at hand… Royal Entertainment acknowledges that EME explained the reason for thecancellation of the California Show and apologized to us. While we areextremely disappointed, we accepted the apology.’
He however confirmed that EME has agreed to refund his company all the monies spent promoting the event as well as fans who purchased tickets, hoping to watch the show, ‘…on behalf of Royal Entertainment, EME, Alore Media and all parties involved, Royal Entertainment would like to apologize to the fans, and furthermore promise that we will make every effort to ensure something like this will not happen again. Thank you for your support, understanding and love, he concluded.

9ice changes name
Singer 9ice (aka Alapomeji) has changed his name , as part of a re-branding effort in the music industry.Formerly known as Abolore Adegbola Akande, 9ice said he is now taking up the names Alexander, Abolore, Adegbola, Alapomeji Ajifolajifaola.
The Gongo Aso crooner said the reason for the name change is the desire to please his fans who have taken a liking to the name Alapomeji.
“When I set up Alapomeji records, I didn’t reckon on my fan sticking to the name. Now that they seem to love the name, I have decided to add it to my original names’”, he told Showtime.
On his father’s reaction to the new name, 9ice said, “Its my decision to adopt a new name and not my father’s. I am sure he will have nothing against my wish, knowing this is show business”

Koffi Olomide sentenced to 3months suspension jail

Koffi Olomide, one of Africa’s most popular singers, has been given a three-month suspended prison sentence for assaulting his producer.
The rumba star, 56, was arrested after a fracas on Wednesday at a hotel in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Correspondents say the courtroom was packed to see the star, who leads the Quartier Latin band.
Olomide this year denied charges of raping three of his dancers in France.
The altercation with his producer, Diego Lubaki, was over a debt of 3,000 euros ($3,680, £2,345), the court heard.
‘Door damaged’
Mr Lubaki said he wanted to drop the charges, but the judge continued the trial.
“He wanted to withdraw charges in favour of social peace and peace between him and the one he calls his ‘big brother’,” one of his lawyers is quoted by the AFP news agency as saying.
The court convicted Olomide of assault and battery but acquitted him of malicious destruction to property, after the hotel room door was damaged in the fight.
The music he plays is known as “soukous”, which comes from the French word secouer, meaning to shake, and its dancers are renowned for their erotic moves.
Like other Congolese musicians, he is known for his extravagant lifestyle and flashy outfits.
Born in 1956, he won a scholarship to do a maths degree in France. On his return to the then-Zaire, he joined the band of musician Papa Wemba, initially as a songwriter.
He later struck out on his own and in the 1980s his soukous style gained popularity around Africa and he has won several Kora All Africa Music Awards.
However, his career has not been without controversy and the raunchy performances of some of his songs have been banned in some countries.
He sang in support of DR Congo’s President Joseph Kabila during the 2006 election campaign, angering many of his fans in the opposition.
Olomide has battled to hold successful tours in Europe since then, as opposition supporters disrupt his concerts, the BBC’s Patrice Chitera in Kinshasa says.
